6. Fix iPhone Spinning Wheel Won't Stop without Data Loss
1. Disable Background App Refresh

The spinning wheel issue most of the times means that some operations are running in the background. When Background App Refresh feature is enabled, there are certain app operations which you may have closed but are still running in the background. Such acts consume a lot of processing memory space in the device and therefore, turning off the Background App Refresh feature will help you when iPhone spinning wheel won't stop. To do this, just head to 'Settings' > 'General' > 'Background App Refresh' and toggle the switch to disable it.

2. Force Quit All the Apps

When the problem continues to appear and the spinning wheel next to Wi-Fi in iPhone didn't vanish following the above steps, try to force quit the apps you have used and those are running in the background. Tap on your 'Home' button twice and you will get to the screen having all the apps running. Start swiping up the app one by one and close all of them. If you're an iPhone X user, swipe up from your Home screen a little and pause at the middle. Touch the app for 1 sec and you will see a red circle on each app. Now swipe up the apps and close all.

3. Update to the Latest iOS

The spinning wheel next to Wi-Fi can also occur due to an old iOS in your iPhone. Hence, it is recommended to update your device into the latest iOS version. Go to 'Settings' > 'General' > 'Software Update'. Your device will show you the available updates. Download the new version by following the instructions and update your device.

4. Stop Automatic Downloads and Updates of the Apps

Many times, automatic downloads and updates tend to work in the background of your iPhone. So, you're more likely to see spinning wheel next to Wi-Fi if any of your updates or downloads are in progress. Moreover, you may continue to see the spinning wheel next to Wi-Fi till the time the download or update is completed. Sometimes, packages are too huge in size and may take long hours to get the process completed. To avoid this situation in future, try turning off the 'automatic downloads and updates of the apps'. Here's how to do it: head to Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Now, toggle off all the available options under 'Automatic Downloads' section.

5. Cut Internet Connection

When you still get that rotating circle on your iPhone, cutting internet connection could give you assistance. Make sure to turn off your Wi-Fi and discontinue the internet connection. After switching off Wi-Fi, check if that spinning wheel goes away or not.

How do I Know If My iPhone is Locked or Unlocked 2019

How do I Know If My iPhone is Locked or Unlocked
#1. Check If Your iPhone is Unlocked via Settings

This method is one of the oldest methods of checking if an iPhone is unlocked, but it’s still very efficient with every version of iOS. Here are the steps to take.

Step 1: Launch your iPhone Settings.

Step 2: Click Cellular.

Step 3: Find the option labelled “Cellular Data Network”. If you can find this option, then your iPhone is unlocked, but if not, your iPhone is carrier-locked.

#2. Check If Your iPhone is Unlocked Using a Different Carrier’s SIM Card

I presume you know what a carrier SIM Card is? Then, this method is to replace the iPhone’s original carrier SIM Card with another mobile operator’s SIM Card. If a notification with the caption “SIM Not Supported” or some other request is made from the phone app such as “Activation Code” or “SIM Unlock Code” is displayed, then your iPhone is carrier-locked.

Here are the steps to check if your iPhone is unlocked:

Step 1: Switch off your iPhone using the power button.

Step 2: Locate and open your SIM card slot using your SIM eject tool or a small paper clip. You will find the SIM slot by the iPhone casing, and you can open the SIM slot by pushing the SIM eject tool into the small SIM tray Hole.

Step 3: Diligently pull the SIM tray out once it pops out, and replace the SIM card with another mobile operator’s SIM card.

Step 4: Insert the tray back, and switch on your iPhone. If your iPhone request for a passcode, enter your passcode or use the touch sensor to pass.

Step 5: Click on your iPhone app. If it’s requesting for a “SIM Unlock Code” or an “Activation Code” or you experience error before opening the app, then your iPhone is carrier-locked.

You can also refer to this video for further details:
#3. Check If Your iPhone is Unlocked Use An Online Service

This method is long and it entails using your IMEI info registration page to check if an iPhone is unlocked.

These steps will help you through it:

Step 3: Confirm your registration by clicking on the link sent to your provided email address. This would take you to the IMEI Info’s main page where you will enter your iPhone’s IMEI number.

Step 4: To find your iPhone’s IMEI number open iPhone Settings and click General > About, and scroll down to IMEI section – you’ll find the number there.

Step 5: Input the IMEI number in the field provided on the IMEI info’s main page.

Step 6: Click “I’m not a robot” > Check > SIMLOCK & WARRANTY > Check Apple Phone Details. You’ll see: unlocked: false or unlocked: true. The first means that your iPhone is carrier locked, while the second means that your iPhone is unlocked.

How to hide apps on your Samsung, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Huawei and Honor Android device 2019

How to hide apps on your Samsung, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Huawei and Honor Android device 2019

Hiding apps is sometimes a desperate need of the time!

Whatever be the reason, there could be some apps that you want to hide from the prying eyes. Whether that be your investment apps, finance apps including that of your bank, social networking apps, and those you-know-which apps, it’s good to know how to hide apps on your Android smartphone.

Android OS by default doesn’t provide an option to hide apps. Which is why you don’t see the ‘hide apps’ feature on stock devices like Google Pixel.

But OEMs like OnePlus, Samsung, Huawei, Honor, Xiaomi and others provide the option in their home screen app itself. You can simply use that to hide apps right away on your Android phone — thus, no need to install any 3rd party app for this for the above brands.

But if your device doesn’t have the option in the default homescreen app on your device (whichever OEM it is), you can use any of the suggested apps from the Play Store for this purpose as given in the article link right below.

The short answer is: No! The long answer is that whenever you delete anything on your iPhone that is stored in your phone’s drive (like your Kik conversations), it doesn’t actually get erased. It’s just removed from your view and marked to be overwritten. Until iOS decides to overwrite the addresses in your database that held the conversations, they will still be recoverable using special software.

You don’t even need to be a super hacker or anything to recover the conversations. There is easy to use software out there that will recover data for any determined snoop.

So what can you do? Is there anything you can do to protect your privacy and keep someone from knowing what you were up to? Luckily, yes there is.Sponsor ads:Fix ios device

iPhone 8/iPhone X Do Not Disturb Drivers

The latest version of iPhone 8 is set to be released later in 2017. This version release is supposed to mark the 10th anniversary of iPhone releases since Steve Jobs announced this product from Apple in January 2007.

So many rumors have followed the Prototype release of this version. But we are sure to see a new design and a lot of exciting features to complement the anniversary of one of the most anticipated releases yet from the tech world.

Some of these new features may include an OLED screen for the first time in iPhone products. This OLED display is a feature already used by Samsung. It does not have the curvy screen, however, but still, maintains its straight screen. With the absence of a physical home button and a smaller frontal sensor panel on the prototypes so far, there is going to be more screen. An anticipated 5.8 display screen which is more than the 5.5 in iPhone 7, although the iPhone 8 is expected to be slightly smaller and so on. These features have been met with a lot of mixed reactions though but here is one feature we are excited to see.

The Do Not Disturb Drivers Feature of iOS 11

Craig Federighi has announced a new feature that will be added to the new iPhones. This feature is a ‘Do Not Disturb Driver.' He announced this at the Worldwide developer's conference in San Jose. The feature is to be introduced with the IOS 11 software upgrade.

The function is set to turn on automatically when your phone senses you are driving and mute all notifications. With this feature on, your phone remains dark, saving you the distractions you get when from receiving notifications while driving. You can set it up such that your favorite contacts get an automatic reply saying you will call them back when you reach your destination. You can also allow some contacts get through to you so that you can manage an emergency. Giving some special people allowances to reach you also puts your mind at rest.

The rationale behind this feature is to reduce accidents caused by texting. Even with laws in place prohibiting same, so many accidents are still caused by using phones while driving. This feature promotes responsible use of phones and other devices. The IOS 11 upgrade will surely bring about exciting new things.

Getting a New iPhone 8 or Sticking with an Older version

Every other year means there is an upgrade and new version of iPhones. If you happen to be a device or iPhone enthusiast, you will want to keep up with your favorite device. This helps you stay in trend and get amazing features. So here are some of the things to consider before getting the new iPhone 8.

The size is slightly smaller than the previous version. If you are into big phones, this may be a turn-off. The upside, however, is that it has been rumored to have larger display screen ‘5.8'.

There is a switch from LED screen to OLED screen. OLED screens are better as they light up on their own, they do not require a backlight. This may, however, be a costly feature.

Rumor has it that this version of iPhone may be made of all glass. This was a feature in the older iPhone 4 versions, but users complained about it breaking easily. This version has passed the breakability test supposedly, and as such there may be nothing to worry about. All glass is lovely by the way.

It has also been rumored that there will be a change from Touch ID to Face ID. The non-existent of a physical home button on the prototype makes this rumor somewhat plausible. There is, however, a longer power button that may include Touch ID sensors, so we are not so sure what to expect.

The new design and new features have been met with a lot of mixed reaction. In that case, it may be better to stick with the old versions and at the same time get your hopes up about the new version.

If you have made your mind about getting the new iPhone 8 when it comes out sometime in September, then you need to dispose of your old phone. Whatever steps you take whether donating or selling, data protection should be a concern. Your phone has a lot of personal data stored in the history or cache of the phone. Even when you delete this information, they can be recovered if not completely erased. In other to secure your data and prevent this information getting into the wrong hands, you may want to consider a more permanent solution. Umate pro provides this solution.

iCloud Notes Not Syncing? Here’s How to Fix It 2019

1. Basic Troubleshooting Methods
01 Your device is storing your notes locally

It is possible that your device is storing your notes locally, and not uploading them to iCloud. Go to settings > Notes > Default Account. And check if you choose "On My iPhone" or "iCloud" option. If "On My iPhone" is enabled, that means all the noted created on your iPhone will only stay on your iPhone. Notes in your iCloud will not be downloaded to your phone either. If you want to be able to send out and receive notes using iCloud, choose "iCloud" simply. Once you do that, your device will sync with iCloud.

02 Your devices have different iOS versions

For example, if the iOS on your phone is updated to iOS 11 and the one on your Mac isn't the latest, there could be inconsistencies with how they view your notes because for your Mac, there might be some features it won't be able to recognize. It is important that all your iOS versions are always up to date. Most of the time, your phone sends you notifications or updates about this. If you somehow miss them, you can check once in a while by yourself. To do this, go to Settings and click on General then Software Updates. It there is a new iOS version, it will be shown there and you can update from there. For your Mac, go to the Mac App Store and check the Updates tab.Sponsor ads:Fix ios device

03 You are not signed into your iCloud account on all your devices

This may seem silly but you might not be signed into your iCloud account on one of your devices. Using the same Apple ID doesn't mean your phone automatically connects to your iCloud. This is very possible especially if you set up your phone using iTunes not iCloud backup. Check to be sure you are signed into your iCloud account.

To check using your phone, go to Settings and tap on iCloud. To check using a Mac, go to System Preferences and click on iCloud. If you are not logged in, put in the required details and set up your iCloud on your device.

04 Notes syncing may be turned off on your iCloud

The problem could be from your iCloud account itself. If note syncing is turned off on your iCloud, there is no way any note saved on your devices will be sent to iCloud. To turn this feature off, go to Settings and click on iCloud. Scroll down to the Notes option. If it is turned off, tap the toggle to turn it on. The syncing process usually takes a while so remember to go back to be sure it synced successfully.

2. Force Restart Your Device

If you have checked and none of the situations presented above is the problem, try forcing restart your devices to get rid of this problem. To do this, simply hold down the power button and home button until you see the Power Off slide. Go ahead and swipe it to the right. Once they are turned off, you can go ahead and turn them back on.

3. Sign out of iCloud on All Your Devices

If that doesn't work, try signing out of iCloud on all your devices, then signing back in. To do this, simply go to Settings, click on iCloud and you will see the Sign Out option.

For your Mac, go to System Preference, click on iCloud and select the Sign Out option.

At least one of the solutions above should work for you. If none does, try contacting Apple Support so they can help you identify the problem and fix it.
