Over a month after it initially began the roll-out of Eye Experience update with Android 4.4.4 for One (M8) in Europe, HTC has finally released the update in India. Available now over-the-air, the update is 288.45MB in size and will automatically arrive on your smartphone. If you don’t want to wait for the notification, you can go to Settings > About Phone > Software update, to manually check for the update.
To remind you, HTC Eye Experience is a set of camera-specific enhancements, which include auto and Voice selfie, enhanced video calls, live make-up, face fusion and more. You can read in detail about the Eye Experience here.
On the Android platform front, you won’t notice any changes, as most of the Android 4.4.4 is the security fixes, which were already included by HTC in the Android 4.4.3 update for the phone. The Android 4.4.3 update for One (M8) was released in India in August this year and included 4G LTE support as well.
